New Toobulr carry-tube keeps kids’ documents and artwork safe and dry
Calgary, AB, May 7, 2012 – A Canadian inventor and mom has figured out how to get forms, artwork and schoolwork home safe and sound with her new colourfully fun plastic carry-tubes.
The BPA-free Toobulr carry-tube makes crumpled forms, soiled artwork and ripped homework a thing of the past. Roll it up, slide it in and seal documents away inside the air-tight recycled plastic tube and children can easily and safely port them to school, home and back again.
Developed by a mom who is also a teacher, the idea for Toobulr came to inventor Narda Simpson after opening her eight-year-old’s backpack for the third time in a week to find ripped, soiled or crumpled documents crammed inside. “It’s really such a simple idea that came from my own frustration and certainty that there had to be a better way to get these forms, homework sheets and such home in one piece,” she explained.
A strong believer in keeping the environment and the local economy in mind, Simpson made the decision early on that Toobulr would be manufactured in Canada to reduce its carbon footprint, would use recycled plastics (in this case plastic water bottles, toys and milk jugs) and be BPA free. The tubes are manufactured, assembled and shipped direct to consumers across the country from its warehouse in Calgary.
Toobulr conveniently fits inside of a backpack, can be carried by its handle or can be clipped to the outside of a backpack with a carabiner clip. It comes in four cool colours: Boho Blue, Primo Pink, Outrageous Orange and Groovy Green.
